Knighthoods – When Do I Get Mine?

Editor:  I am pleased to introduce you to a new member of the Red Brick for Truth News Team.  In fact, he is one of several new members of staff we will be introducing over the coming months and collectively, Red Brick will refer to them as the ‘Anecdotalists.’

The Anecdotalists will be giving their opinions about several subjects including:  How people and events throughout their lives have impacted on society, whether it has been a positive impact or a negative one.  Introducing ‘Whitie Yeates, who knew what life in a local community was like pre-Tony and post Tony Blair.  All yours Mr Yeates.

We have all heard the phrases pertaining to the words, “If that person can do it, then it cannot be too difficult, so I can do it, too.”  Similarly, we have heard people say, “If that person can get an award, then I’m sure I can, too,” which brings me to the subject of this article and its title above:  The New Year’s Honours List.

I am of course referring to the news that former United Kingdom Prime Minister (three times Tony), Tony Blair, has received a Knighthood, but not just any knighthood, hell no, he has been appointed a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, the oldest and most senior British Order of Chivalry.

This has sparked outrage amongst hundreds of thousands of UK citizens, many of whom lived through Tony Blair’s tenure as PM, which included three election wins, hence his nickname ‘three times Tony,’ well, what did you think it could have meant?

If you have not already, here is the link for you to sign the petition, and join over 1 million signatories, should you want to, of course: https://chng.it/v9n5TGn2F2

Following the announcement of the news about his New Year ‘gift’ from……’the establishment,’ several petitions were immediately launched, an example of one these is above, signed by hundreds of thousands of UK citizens. asking Boris Johnson to withdraw Tony’s New Year Honour, because thousands of people believe that he does not deserve it, but I will get into the whys and wherefores after this headline from The Guardian  news.  The full article by Damien Gayle from Friday 7th January 2022.

It is clear that Tony Blair’s award has rattled a few cages, with many people, if not the majority, blaming him for a number of events, rightly or wrongly, including the opening of the ‘floodgates’ to the UK re New Labour’s stance on immigration, a major contribution to the sorry state our immigration system is in now.

Then there is what many people see as the ‘failure’ of his multi-cultural revolution, which few people asked for, where the UK was transformed from a time when Sunday was essentially a family day, kept sacrosanct by previous governments who maintained the Sunday Trading Laws.

The regulation of working time was a major factor for non-essential services, which allowed families to not only eat together, but also to play together.  Sunday was, arguably, the national rest day, a day for family worship and visiting other extended family members.

New Labour’s dissolution of these laws has transformed how many traditional families now interact with each other, almost forcing the abandonment or family ‘norms’ overnight, which some believe was an intended consequence of his policies, and a major factor impacting on the structure and discipline of family life, all of which was necessary to cause the ‘motorway mayhem’ on the road to the, Great Reset, where something has to be destroyed, so that the Reseters can 6uild-6ack-6etter, whatever that really means?

The true impact and price of New Labour’s social mismanagement of the family unit might never be known, as successive generations become more entitled than the previous ones, as their consumeristic lust for the latest technology increases, further isolating them and adding to the generations of young people who grew up in their bedrooms glued to computer gaming.

There are those who will say that all of this has been progress, a natural evolution of people being able to constantly reward themselves for their arduous work, and I would have to agree with that, in part at least, but it is only a numerical assessment of one’s ‘quality of life’ through counting the pounds, shillings and pence to assess a person’s progress and success.

However, this does not consider the overarching measurement of how our communities have benefited from this ‘progress,’ and we would have to examine its impact on the families and their communities, the things we see within our villages, towns, and urban communities; this is where the evidence lies for all to see.

In September 2006, not long after New Labour fared poorly in local elections, with many of the voters blaming Tony-boy, in part, for his support of the Iraq War.  Following this, Mr Blair announced that he would step down as prime minister within a year.

The well-known face of a man wearing the ‘threads’ that are adorned by those who are made a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

In 2007, Tony Blair jumped ship and legged it leaving Chancellor Gordon Brown at the helm, and following an in-house vote by his party members, Mr Brown became Prime Minister and leader of the New Labour ‘dead on its feet’ party.

At the 2010 National Election the voters said 6ye-6ye-Mr 6rown, giving Mr Brown a size 12 boot up his hoop to help him on his way.  Mr Brown was his party’s choice, and never that of the voters who showed him ‘the door.’   I suppose this was inevitable having Tony Blair’s party pedigree hanging around his neck like a millstone, that, and the catastrophic failure of his government during the ‘Financial Crash of 2008.’

The 2010 National Election resulted in the electorate voting for the establishment personified, the Conservative Party, who had to form a coalition government with the Liberal Party owing to a ‘hung parliament.’

How much of the responsibility lies with New Labour for the state of the nation today?  I see a less cohesive society compared to the pre-Blair years.  Street violence and the fear of becoming a victim in one’s own neighbourhood surpasses any Pandemic statistic the Mainstream Media could invent.

Families are living in communities where they are having to structure their days, according to which hours of day they hope it will be safe to leave their houses, even if it is just to go shopping.

Parts of the UK have fallen to ubiquitous levels of violence and murder; I am of course referring to the high instances of ‘knife and gun crime,’ which we read about taking place almost every day in our large inner cities.  Tony Blair’s New Labour totally failed to make a sustainable dent in the rising knife crime that blighted their three terms, although in fairness, no government has during my electoral lifetime.

If Tony had put the same amount of effort in to impacting on the UK’s knife crime, as he did into promoting the Globalist Mantra of 6uild-6back-6etter, and passionately urging the UK citizens to receive an experimental liquid into their bloodstream, referring to it as a vaccine, we could be living in a much safer country, very much like it was before New Labour came into power.

I realise Tony-boy that you are not a Doctor or Medical Consultant, but that liquid you are promoting does not have the medical efficacy associated with the long-term testing for it to qualify as a ‘genuine vaccine,’ but if you’re not sure whether this is correct or not, drop the owner of this website a line of enquiry, and he’ll keep you and your cohorts right:  https://vernoncoleman.org

All the above is important, and time has not, and nor will it, diminish its gravity, even as 2022 takes a hold and more historical events make their way to the front pages of the MSM, but this is only part of his legacy and wherever he goes, there will always be an elephant in the room waiting for him:  The Second Gulf War of 2003.

Here is yet another excellent article from The Guardian  news.  It is written by Matthew Tempest, Political Correspondent dated Tuesday 18th March 2003.

For Tony, there will always be one thing that ‘defines him,’ and that is the question people want answering with a ‘no holds barred’ public enquiry asking the question:  Was Tony Blair Guilty of War Crimes?

This question was addressed by The Guardian newspaper reporter, George Monbiot,11 years go in the article shown below

For many people, the world is an upside-down, back-to-front place, where doing what was once the right thing to do, is now the wrong  thing to do, even the word ‘wicked’ is used to describe something that is good, so the news that Tony Blair is to receive one of the UK’s highest awards, compounds peoples belief that everything is becoming back to front.

The above Tweet is from the brilliant journalist and author, John Pilger (JP). https://johnpilger.com

JP is a good human being and recently authored an article titled:  THE JUDICIAL KIDNAPPING OF JULIAN ASSANGE (which is relevant to this article).

Regarding the young people and adults who lived in communities pre-Blair era and voted him into power, and are still living in those same communities today in this post Blair era, it would be highly interesting to know that, if Tony was to revisit these same communities today and ask them:

  • Did I make the United Kingdom a better place?
  • Did I make the United Kingdom a safer place to live?
  • If you could go back in time, would you vote for me again?

Tony would be better received in these communities if he were to make an unreserved apology for his, and New Labour’s broken promise to have a referendum (plebiscite), allowing the UK voters to decide whether the UK should stay in, or leave the European Union.

Again, the Guardian, in an excellent article by Matthew Tempest, Political Correspondent, dated Tue 20 Apr 2004, assesses New Labour’s failed EU Referendum stance.  ‘The article is titled:  Blair Confirms EU Referendum U-Turn.’

Red Brick for Truth has learned from a ‘government source’ that, there was a huge surge for ‘Establishment’ and ‘Tory’ party invites, from lesser-known conservative supporters wanting to attend their annual festive seasonal events.  The events being their annual ‘gatherings’ formerly known as parties, where a chance to social climb and score some ‘snecking points’ is a certainty.

The demand for ‘Access to an Advocate,’ is the snotty upper crust equivalent of ministerial ‘cash for questions,’ and it was all stimulated by the sudden, if not shocking news, that Tony Blair was going to give it ‘top hat and tails’ all the way to Buckingham Palace.

Of course, this was a right ‘kick in the slats’ for the Self-Appointed Pillars of Society (SAPS), who, initially believing this to be a wind-up, fell to the floor laughing, wetting themselves in the process as they rolled around the floor uncontrollably, before looking up at the stone-cold faces of their equally overly privileged and self-entitled chums, for whom the penny had already dropped.

It must have been a cold and sobering moment for these SAPS as they picked themselves up from the floor and walked to the blokes comfort room for a quick ‘top and tail,’ as the reality of their situation at being overlooked, again, sunk in, because it was true, 3 times Tony was a receive top establishment honour.

The SAPS, many of whom had long since given up the hope of receiving a ‘jobs for the boys’ award, realised that Tony’s award put them back in the running and in with a shout for an honour of their own, because they thought to themselves, if ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction Tony’ (WMD-Tony) can get one, then they can get one too,’ hence the sudden need for the SAPS to begin networking.

It is funny, no, not funny ha-ha, but funny as in odd, sad even, because it is only a few decades ago that the New Year Honours List meant something to the nation, when everyday people who had devoted their lives to their community, should receive an honour for their commitment and devotion to others, having never asked for, nor wanted, the national recognition they so readily deserved.

Hey, do not just take my word for it, have a listen to what Sky Sports broadcaster, Jeff Stelling, had to say about this, Jeff being a man of principle and has the ‘ears of a nation’ on a footballing Saturday afternoon .  The YouTube video is titled:   ‘Jeff Stelling’s New Year Honours Rant,’ and is from December 30th 2017, and still receives thousands of views today:

The face and body language are ‘Classic Jeff’ who is making his views on the New Year's Honours List clear; way to go, Jeff.

I, like many people, have long since realised that the value of these awards has been diminishing year on year over recent decades, however, this time round they reached a new low, and are now almost meaningless.

They have become overly politically charged and a ‘slap on the back’ for the establishment figures, although I did hear that a few ‘hairdressers’ had, in the past, received New Year Honours for a cutting hair, but then I learned that they had been cutting the hair of bluebloods and a former prime minister, so, I rest my case, your honour.

Is it necessary to award those who have already achieved fame, awards, recognition, and wealth, that their skills and abilities have already rewarded them with and on so many levels?

I opine that the system of New Year Honours should be reserved for those whose commitment to their communities has been ‘above and beyond’ what could have been reasonably expected, and less often for the rich, the famous and already overly entitled individuals who do not need them and may not deserve them.

We can clearly see that the ‘Court of Public Opinion’ is making its views known re Tony Blair’s award, which should make the politicians sit up and listen, but the UK is not near enough to a General Election for them to care.

Perhaps if the UK was not in a One-Party system of government, where what passes for an opposition chooses to tread water, when they are not sitting inanimately on the parliamentary benches, whilst totalitarian laws are introduced into parliament.

I pray for the return of the UK’s ‘adversarial’ political system of government,  where voters do have a choice, a real choice, and can influence the government’s policies.  However, this system was so long ago, I can no longer remember when that was, exactly?!

Finally, do I think that Tony Blair’s New Year Christmas Stocking from ‘the boy’s club’ will be withdrawn, M’mm…….well, I cannot say it will be with any degree of absolute certainty. so here is my answer:  If it is withdrawn, I will show my arse outside the Houses of Parliament!
