Foxhunting – A sick barbaric evil in our midst

At Red Brick International News Media for Truth, we take pride in our diverse, open-minded and yet inclusive approach to seeing the world through the eyes of others. So, when we say diverse, that is what we mean, literally.
In our four-part series of articles will include a new perspective not previously seen before, and that is because Red Brick will be interviewing a fox and his family, which will add a new dimension to how this industry is viewed.
The damage caused by foxhunting is ‘alive & kicking per https://plantbasednews.org

The idea for a Foxhunting theme came about when one of our subscribers, who wishes to remain anonymous, therefore we have given him the pseudonym, Farmer Giles (FG), came forward and spoke to us about his concerns re the ‘impotency’ of The Hunting Act 2004 applying to the England and Wales

The Hunting Act 2004 (c 37) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which bans the hunting of most wild mammals (notably foxes, deer, hares and mink) with dogs in England and Wales, subject to some strictly limited exemptions

Here is part of a definition that can also be found on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_hunting
‘Fox hunting is an activity involving the tracking, chase and, if caught, the killing of a fox, traditionally a red fox, by trained foxhounds or other scent hounds. A group of unarmed followers, led by a “master of foxhounds” (or “master of hounds”), follow the hounds on foot or on horseback.

This being a January and a significant month during which many hunts or ‘activities’ will be taking place across England and Wales; Red Brick decided the subject need a good public airing in our inimitable way.

Farmer Giles (FG) is a farmer and resides in England, whose views on the cruelty of foxhunting is not shared by many farmers and he fears that should his details become known publicly, this would be detrimental to his business.

Our resident investigator re all things that are cruel to animals is our Wild Animal Welfare Correspondent and sometimes under-cover Investigator, which has earned him the nickname, ‘Sly,’ is none other than the internationally renowned and critically acclaimed, author and journalist, Arlus Hibbs, interviewed FG.
Arlus’s works have included:

⦁ The Establishment Elites & The Evil Within (referring to the unnecessary and gluttonous bloodlust that is marked by the Glorious Twelfth, the 12th of August, a sacred date, dubbed by some as the ‘New Year’s Day of hunting’, as it marks the start of the 121-day grouse shooting season – commonly known as the ‘Glorious Twelfth’ (internet source).
⦁ The Fox Today, Tomorrow it’s You! (This time Arlus is referring to the dystopian oncoming that is being presented daily through: Going cashless, Smart Zones, Government labelling as ‘disinformation’ to any other narrative than their own. In this book Arlus claims that we are heading towards a ‘Hunger Games’ society and it will be the ‘underclasses’ that will be hunted as sport for the elites (The Games are a televised event in which the participants, called “tributes”, are forced to fight to the death in a dangerous public arena. The winning tribute and his or her home district are then rewarded with food, supplies, and riches – wikipedia).

Here is a shortened transcript from when Arlus interviewed FG,

FG: ‘New Labour gave us ‘The Hunting Act 2004’ (The Act), which after gaining Royal Assent in November, went live in February 2005. The Act was a major vote winner for New Labour, which the masses believed, as did I, that it would end this cruel and barbaric ‘sport,’ yes, it was referred to as a sport, which is sickening when I think about it.’
‘Like many, I believed a ‘ban’ meant the end of this ‘bloodlust’ exercised by men and women, especially those seen as the traditional classes and by that, I mean the upper classes, the rich and the landowners to name but a few.’
‘Then we heard it was not a ban at all, it was a ‘con,’ because the only thing that really changed was that the Act renamed foxhunting as ‘Drag Hunting,’ which as anyone knows was more a case of, ‘as you were.’ to those who participate in the sport, or to give it its more pallativle name as outlined in wikipedia: Activity.’

‘I have heard that even now foxes are being killed in the name of this activity. One method used, apparently, is where a person or persons prior and on the same day, find a living breathing fox, kill it, humanely, for example by blasting it with a shot gun, and use the now deceased fox’s blood to smear on what becomes a scented drag-trail prior to the hunt taking place.’

‘However, we have also heard that foxes are caught, kept alive and killed fresh on the day, which allows the ‘activity’ to run smoothly and on time, especially as drag trails are laid about an hour before the hunt hounds, or foxhounds and or trail hounds are released to follow the freshly laid scented drag.’

‘The Act provides for people known as ‘whippers’ to bring the hounds into line should they scent a live fox, or even the fox itself and go chasing after it.’

‘This of course is laughable when comparing the hundreds of years of breeding in the bloodlines of these hounds, and their automatic instinct to hunt foxes, contained within the information of their genetic makeup, passed down to them through generation after generation, and the Act expects the hounds to stop following a fox or its scent when a ‘whipper’ command them to do so – do me a fecking favour!’

‘I know the police receive complaints from members of the public but are mostly at a loss of what to do. On the day of the ‘activity’ in many rural areas there might be a skeleton crew of police officers on duty covering many miles of rural and in many cases, inaccessible areas, the sort of areas where the drag trails are laid, so how can we expect the police to police an Act such as this one.’

‘There was always one answer to all of this and that was to enforce what the public perceived to be a ban, and to kill this sport or activity until it was dead in the water, but that did not happen and why was that, because, in my opinion, the people who make the laws are directly or indirectly involved in the ‘activity’ itself; the whole thing is a sham.’

Red Brick thanks FG for his candour and even though this is one man’s opinion, it is an opinion shared by many the world over, for which the Internet will stand testament to, depending on the capability and might we add, the integrity of the search used to conduct one’s own research.

In the next article I will be interviewing an actual fox who has had first-hand experience of the hunts, including what the fox community refers to as the ‘before time,’ which was prior to the 2004 Act, and the reality of the ‘after-time,’ when the Act became live on the 28th of February 2005.
