There are currently two Bills going through Parliament we all need to be aware of: ‘The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill’ and also the ‘The Online Harms Bill.’
These bills, if they become law, could take our British society towards a new era of politics, or should that be, ‘dark politics,’ and whereas democracy has developed a nasty limp under our now One-Party system of Government, and should these Bills become law, democracy will be on its knees, resigned to the prospect of being trampled underfoot, along with our rights and freedoms, when the next round of Bills is announced and subsequently adopted into law.
You are witnessing the early throws of a new dawn, but unlike any dawn you have ever seen before, the sun will not be shining and there will only be dark clouds in grey skies. People will stop speaking to strangers they would have once chatted with in a bus queue, or in a more social setting such as a bar, and why is this, because it is intended that we will be living in fear of ‘offending’ someone, such as a melting snowflake, who does not agree with you about what was once, a middle of the road subject such as politics or an opinion about a person or organisation, which has nothing to do with the obvious sensitive subjects we read and hear about every day.
Such fear will make it easy for the State, or the One-Party System we are living in, to tell us what we can and cannot say, taking us, the people, in a direction towards a new ‘diction,’ and an ‘approved’ language, created and sanctioned by a government more akin to a dictatorship, a communist state, or in this case, an unfettered ‘One-Party System of Government.’

People are waking up, albeit slowly, but waking up nevertheless and are looking for answers to what is really going on within the United Kingdom, and where is it all heading? Another equally important question people are beginning to ask, ‘is this virus real?’ The citizens of the UK have every right to ask this question, and with good reason, too.
There is little trust in our politicians because of their everyday contradictions and hypocrisy they put on public display showing us how they, along with the Elites, Celebrities, Royals, tv personalities and goodness knows how many others, go about their business without masks and or ignoring social distancing rules. For many, this is nothing more than a form of mockery, as well as an example of the level of contempt the Elitist classes have for us plebs; they ignore their own rules with impunity and in doing so are, ‘flipping accountability the bird,’ or more commonly put, ‘Giving it the Finger!’
And here we are, us Plebs following the rules, protecting ourselves as instructed, protecting our families and communities against the ‘virus,’ and how do we reconcile with the Elites etc who do not follow the rules? The majority of people seem to acquiesce, roll over and offer no resistance, simply accepting their place in the social pecking order and that well-worn phrase: ‘Rules for thee, but not for me,’ in order to make some sense of this hypocrisy. Things have to change and for the better, because it cannot keep on going like this, can it?
What the people need in their corner are heroes, political heroes who will stand up to the mic and defend democracy with their every breath, and they must do this in the belly of the beast, Westminster, because the stakes have never been higher.
I have watched many live political Westminster debates, although for the past two years any such debates have been uninspiring, conducted in ‘limp mode’ and sounding like ‘white noise.’ Our lives have been reshaped with so much change of late, that I find myself struggling to imagine what the world was like two years ago. It is almost as if there has been a ‘time-shift’ and we are now living in a parallel world where the days are slowly getting darker; and no matter how far the clocks are put back, it does not seem to get any lighter.
When considering the world of the political live theatre at Westminster, is it any wonder why there is so little interest in politics. Where are the politicians whose duty it is to stand up and challenge the Lockdown Policies of this ‘one party’ system of government, which is destroying the lives of our fellow human beings, and in the name of what? A flu by any other name according to many experts who have had to pay the price for their honesty.
So, what is the true and real cost of the Lockdown policies voted in by members of both sides of the House? Despite this sounding like a rhetorical question because we will never know as things stand, but if someone or some people, would ‘grow some’ and stand up to be counted and ask some ‘real’ questions, we might be in with a chance of finding out.
Where are the ‘Giants’ who are needed to speak up for the people, just as ‘Sir Geoffrey Cox,’ did during September 2019, when he stood up to protect the democratic will of the people re BREXIT. Sir Geoffrey, using everyday words, good honest words, with a natural oratory bound them together with perfect symmetry and delivered one of the most powerful speeches I have ever heard in my lifetime.
He made this speech during a ‘live’ televised full sitting in the House of Commons, backed by an army of statutes and common laws going back one thousand years, to put the ‘Anti-BREXIT ‘Turncoats’ well and truly back in their box, many of whom would be ousted at the subsequent 2019 General Election by voters who had previously voted for them, ‘citing’ the MP’s opposition to BREXIT as the main cause of their rebuke.
Whilst Sir Geoffrey stood up and took to the floor and began his iconic speech, many politicians sat in stunned silence at its enormity, others exalted with his every word, and those who opposed them, feebly shouted in concert and in opposition to what amounted to, an attempt to subvert the democratic will of the people, with their cacophony of shrills representative of 1970s football ‘hooligans.’ Despite this, the noise coming from these ‘upstarts’ was innocuous, a distant whisper, compared to the 24 Karat Gold performance of Sir Geoffrey delivering his unscripted and inspired oratoric opera.
We need someone who can provide the type of delivery that would make people realise that their freedoms are gravely at risk of disappearing, yet, what I saw recently on live tv from Westminster did not inspire me. Whilst an MP was making an important statement to the House, I am sad to say that the handful of MPs who had turned up, were all looking down at their mobile devices and I wonder, is this what passes for listening in 2021AD?
I do not know where Sir Geoffrey stands re the virus and or the current Acts I have mentioned, but I do know that we desperately need someone with his ‘mettle’ who can stand up in Westminster and deliver a speech, condemning any direct assault on our democracy.
Who is there amongst the Westminster politicians that will take a stand against those who seek to ‘dispose’ of and continue to eat away at our collective freedoms, to ensure that our Human Rights remain sacrosanct , and to preserve the memory of all the true good men and women who died fighting the Nazi Tyranny, stopping their Torture and Human Experimentation and at the same time seeking out those responsible and holding them to account?
