(but no mention of shhh….COVID)
Foreword: On Wednesday, 18th August 2021, Comrade Borisovsky recalled all MP’s back to the House of Commons for an emergency discussion re: Afghanistan. Many of you now refer to the Conservative Government as the contrived One-Party State.
Red Brick reporter, Robert Caulfield, or ‘Bob the Gob’ to his readers, has written this article, to give a voice to his angry readers and listeners who tune into his weekday phone-ins.
Did any of you watch that shameful, virtue signalling, pathetic live ‘debate’ about the apparent overnight capitulation of the Afghanistan Democratic Government, once it became clear that the USA, UK and other coalition forces had just ‘upped sticks’ and left the country without so much as a by-your-leave, leaving innocent women and children to fend for themselves. Will the Taliban bring with them a tidal wave’ of ‘payback’ or will they want to engage with the West and play nicely?
Did you hear the ministerial sycophants standing up, practically crawling over each other to gain maximum exposure, just so that they could spew out their verbal bile in a race to perform a ‘Winston Churchillesque,’ style speech and hope that it is remembered within the annals of history.
A Government, or now the One-Party State as it has become, are more concerned that history will look favourably upon them, and not remember them for the many self-serving hypocrites that so many of them are. Hypocrites because they would rather seek to atone for their sheer incompetence and lack of empathy by having an in-House’ purge of their guilty conscience, because they all know what future the Afghans have to look forward to and it’s not orange, it’s red and it might not only be one shade of red, but several shades including a ‘Red Dawn.’
Did you see some MP’s squirming in their seats as they suggested, pointlessly, that the British government needs to talk with the Taliban, negotiate for the human rights of the Afghan citizens, so that both the Taliban and it subjects, the Afghan people, can enjoy the fruits of a western style democracy? “Err, excuse me luvs, but what the heck have you lot been doing for the last 20 years about securing the safety of the Afghan people?
Did anyone think, like me, where on earth were you lot when the country needed you during the ‘flu season,’ when your constituents desperately needed their Members of Parliament to give them a voice, especially the elderly and vulnerable people who were lonely and dying, and needed a strong government to act positively? I’ll tell you where you were, you were slinking out your offices to whimper away at home, on your feckin jollies, playing furlough!
That nationwide ‘sweetener’ of free money and a neat little ‘sabbatical’ for you MP’s, should have had you lot thinking, ‘What is really going on here,’ or are you lot really that stupid? Whilst the ordinary citizens were ‘virtually imprisoned within their own homes, I wonder how many of you lot were waiting for the ‘seasonal flu’ to come along, nip your nostrils, making a positive test inevitable, so that you can become a daily statistic, a survivor and the proud wearer of: ‘I’ve had the COVID and survived’ badge.
Hey, if it is badges and medals you lot want, there are plenty of people here at Red Brick who could give you one of their medals, medals that they earned in the service of the United Kingdom and no, they will not swap you for cash, or a question for that matter, unless the question is the one in bold above.
What would have been nice to hear you lot debate over at the House, was which Globalists and businesses have profited most from the ‘War on Terror?’ Also, who is, if at all, still profiting by remaining in Afghanistan to ‘develop’ the oil and mineral resources? Are the same businesses raking it in, or was the UK’s divorce a clean break where the UK and all those people with business interests just walked away?
However, is it unrealistic to believe that there are still UK businesses profiting from the Afghan ‘experience,’ and how much of the profits from these businesses will be given tax free to the ‘Help for Heroes’ fund, whose suffering, bravery and lives lost made it all possible. Either way, it would be naïve to believe that someone is not still profiting, the ones who have the real money, the ‘old money,’ the ‘faceless’ entities and puppet masters who are actually running the show, and will no doubt continue to do so long after the coalition governments’ upped sticks and left their tainted legacies’ behind them.
A question such as which global businesses are still profiting, and by what means would have been an interesting debate to have watched, because there must be some with a finger or two still in the ‘Afghan Pie’ collecting a bit of ‘wedge,’ because ‘come on man,’ this is politics and UK politics at that.
We are used to hearing government ministers for ever saying ‘things’ went tits up due to ‘oversights, underestimating possible outcomes or claiming victimhood for ‘unintended consequences.’ Of course, once the excuses have been made, it will be time for a minister to step up to the parliamentary podium to pontificate and patronise the public with a speech, which would no doubt begin something like, “If we knew then what we know now” etc, eventually ending the speech with a “We must never lose the lessons,” etc. So, when the government was in parliament that day, did they miss an opportunity, perhaps a slight oversight of something that needed a good public airing; too feckin right they did!
Did not one of you MP’s stop for one moment and think to stand up and say, “Seeing as we are all here at last, can we turn our attention to all things COVID and thrash out, here and now, which certain companies were awarded COVID related contracts, or even how the top government advisor who said a UK Lockdown was required to avoid hundreds of thousands of deaths, broke his own Lockdown rules to go ‘podging’ some other bloke’s missus, because the public want answers, so let us do it?” So, what do you reckon they did? Correct, they did Sweet Fanny Adam!
But let us indulge ourselves further and say that an MP did ask that question, it might have led to other MP’s standing up to ask questions, having been empowered by the previous member to ask, “How and why have so many elderly and vulnerable people died in care homes and other environments, many of whom were living in a virtual prison and were not allowed to see their families, because if this ‘pandemic’ was and still remains so serious, then why did the G7 World Leaders ignore the rules all in the name of a ‘Beer and a BBQ.”
“Then there was the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge exposing their children and potential future heirs to the throne, to the Airborne Parachuting Pandemic and not only at the Wimbledon Tennis, but also at the European Nations Cup Final at Wembley, where thousands of ‘useless eaters’ attended and could breathe each other’s air?”
Perhaps the Duke and Duchess considered the risk to their children to have been extremely low, which at the time was the advice given from the medical ‘experts.’ So, what has changed in the meantime that the ‘vaccination’ roll-out is heading the way of the children, and it is, make no bones about that, because if this government is prepared to endorse the ‘jabbing’ of pregnant mothers, then the age of any child is, ‘on the table.’
When Headmaster Borisovsky ordered his pupils (MP’s) to return to parliament, in what I can only describe as a ‘kick in the nuts’ to the people, because we all so the true colours of Boris’s Boys and Girls, as they sat alongside each other all scrunched up like sardines in a tin, masked and unmasked, breathing in each other’s flying snot and mouth mucus, whilst united in a show of contempt to the public by and a virtual sticking up of their ‘two fingers,’ whilst sitting on their shiny ‘buffed up’ furlough backsides, pouring scorn on the COVID rules they made and forced upon their voters and supporters.
Now look at the image below produced for the UK Parliament website. The image was taken on the 19th of August 2021 entitled: House of Lords recalled to debate the situation in Afghanistan.
Note the serious concern on all of the faces (if you can), as they demonstrate their anger towards the ‘plight’ of the Afghan people, who assisted the coalition forces and were left behind to face the wrath of the Taliban (surely the absentees are not going to blame COVID for this pish-poor turn out, because the House of Commons was full?).
There should be a an ‘independent commission’ re on what merit the Lords and Lordesses were elected, some of whom we know are deserving of their titles, but these are not the people to whom I am referring. I am referring to the ones whose allegiances and incremental support to a government party, had somehow become meritorious, as opposed to their service and leanings to democracy itself and selfless service to society in general.
Yes, I agree with you all, the attendance below was a national disgrace, but not unexpected from an unelected bunch of mostly very rich people, whose own reality, mostly, bears no resemblance to the Afghan issue being discussed
Enough said.
Bob, for Red Brick Truth.
